Share Links are the counterpart to Upload Links: While Upload Links allow you to receive files from clients, Share Links enable you to securely send files to clients. Each Share Link can be password-protected, has a configurable expiration date, and an optional download limit. You'll be notified as soon as someone downloads your files, and you can track exactly who accessed your files and when in the download history.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Share Links can I create?
The number depends on your plan. The Starter plan includes 10 active Share Links, the Professional plan 50, and the Organisation plan unlimited.
Can I edit a Share Link after creation?
You can change the password, expiration date, and download limit at any time. You can add files but not remove them.
What happens after the link expires?
After expiration, the files can no longer be downloaded. The link displays an appropriate message.
How large can files be?
The maximum file size depends on your plan. Up to 500 MB per file in the Professional plan, up to 2 GB in the Organisation plan.
Is the recipient automatically notified?
Only if you send the link via email through SendMeSafe. When manually copying the link, you need to share it yourself.
Can I see who downloaded the files?
Yes, in the download history you can see the timestamp, IP address (anonymized), and device type of each download.
Are the files encrypted?
Yes, all files are transferred via TLS 1.3 and stored encrypted with AES-256 in our S3 storage.
